The Challenge
Pushing the boundaries of what is possible in healthcare
Over the past 20 years, breast cancer rates have more than doubled, with a widespread prevalence in black women in both rural and low-income urban areas.
Women in these communities are particularly vulnerable and are often diagnosed at late stages (stages 3-4) due to a lack of awareness and inadequate access to screening services.
The increase in breast cancer rates is driven by lifestyle factors and a healthcare system unable to meet the demand for early detection.
Addressing these challenges requires a focused effort on education, improving access to screenings, and providing essential support to women in these vulnerable communities.
Key obstacles in accessing mammograms
Mammography has proven to be the most effective screening technique to detect breast cancer before symptoms appear. However, despite its effectiveness, women in low-income and rural areas face several obstacles which delays diagnosis and treatment.
OUR MISSION
Our plan for the provision of sustainable free mammograms
Radhiant Foundation is committed to ensuring that women in underserved communities have access to life-saving breast cancer screenings. To achieve this, we have outlined a series of key actions aimed at overcoming barriers to healthcare access and making mammograms more widely available.

PARTNERING WITH LOCAL MUNICIPALITIES AND HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS
We will collaborate with local municipalities and healthcare providers to help fund and facilitate free mammograms to women in low-income communities.

PUBLIC AWARENESS CAMPAIGNS
We will work with local clinics, community leaders, radio stations and other media outlets to raise awareness about the availability of free mammograms.

MOBILE SCREENING DAYS
We will host community-based mobile mammogram events to bring breast cancer screenings closer to women in rural areas.
