# Radhiant Diagnostic Imaging (RDISA) > Radhiant Diagnostic Imaging South Africa Inc (RDISA) is a South African mobile mammography service founded by specialist radiologist Dr Anith Chacko. Registered in 2022 and on the road since March 2023, it runs seven mobile 3D mammography units from five bases (Johannesburg, Bronkhorstspruit, Durban, East London and Cape Town), screening women at workplaces, towns and community sites in all nine provinces. Every study is read by a specialist radiologist and reported to the referring doctor within 3 to 5 working days. More than 25,000 mammograms have been done as at 30 September 2026. A screening mammogram costs R1,200 cash, is billed directly to medical aid, or is included in the HerWay subscription from R89 a month. The Radhiant Foundation, a Section 18A approved public benefit organisation, funds free screening for women without medical aid. RDISA is registered with the HPCSA (practice number 1045385) and the Board of Healthcare Funders, and holds Level 1 B-BBEE status. Head office: 12 Athlone Crescent, Selborne, East London, 5201. Bookings: rdisa.co.za or 087 077 0000. ## Key facts - Service: mobile 3D screening mammography at workplaces, towns and community sites - Fleet: 7 mobile 3D tomosynthesis units, 5 bases, all 9 South African provinces - Founded by: Dr Anith Chacko, specialist radiologist (MB BCh Wits 2004, FC Rad Diag SA 2014, PhD Bristol) - Registered: 2022 (registration 2022/578286/21); first unit on the road March 2023 - Mammograms done: 25,000+ as at 30 September 2026 (examinations, not distinct women) - Communities reached: 300+ across all nine provinces, as at 30 September 2026 - Reporting: specialist radiologist report to the referring doctor within 3 to 5 working days - Price: R1,200 cash per screening mammogram; medical aid billed directly; HerWay subscription from R89 a month - Registrations: HPCSA practice number 1045385; Board of Healthcare Funders practice codes; Level 1 B-BBEE - Head office: 12 Athlone Crescent, Selborne, East London, 5201, South Africa - Contact: 087 077 0000, info@rdisa.co.za, bookings@rdisa.co.za - Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00 ## Our record (each figure with its as-at date) - Mammograms done: 25,000+ (as at 30 September 2026). Screening mammograms done since the first unit went on the road in March 2023. These are examinations, not different women. - Fleet and reach: 7 mobile 3D units, 5 bases, 300+ communities, all nine provinces (as at 30 September 2026). Every unit has 3D tomosynthesis. We count a community once, however many times we have visited it. - Reporting: Standard: report to the referring doctor within 3 to 5 working days. Measured: 2.3 working days on average from 1 August to 30 September 2026 (as at 21 October 2026 (standard); 30 September 2026 (measured)). The standard is what we promise every client. The measured average is what we achieved over the period shown. They are two different things, so we publish both. - Suspicious findings referred: 425+ (as at 30 September 2026). BI-RADS 4 to 5 findings referred for biopsy since March 2023. This counts referrals, not cancers. Confirmed diagnoses are with the treating doctor. - Follow-up: Every abnormal result phoned through by a person (as at Standing practice). The woman and her referring doctor are both called. Every woman screened goes onto the following year's recall list. - Booking discipline: No-shows 0 to 5.5% against a 7% industry benchmark; call-to-book conversion 34.8% (as at 31 July 2026). Measured on our own booking system across the recall campaign. - Employers: 10 signed employer agreements from 37 approaches. Named with their permission: Bankmed, Department of Health (Inxuba Yethemba Sub-District), Department of Human Resources Development, Performance and Wellness, Nursing All South Africans and Nate's Car Sales (as at 31 July 2026 (agreements); 29 October 2026 (names)). Corporate screening days booked as full unit-days at the employer's site. - Medical scheme pilot: Close to 5,000 members screened; callbacks under 5%; satisfaction 97.7%; no adverse safety events (as at 31 July 2026). One medical scheme, not named at its request. - Sponsored screening: Free mammograms for women without medical aid, funded through the Radhiant Foundation and delivered on community days (as at Live counter on radhiant.foundation). Pledged, delivered and still-to-deliver figures are published on the Foundation site and updated every Friday. - HerWay: A monthly subscription from R89 that includes one screening mammogram a year, launched July 2025. 75 active subscribers and 189 included mammograms done for members since launch (as at 28 October 2026). Active subscribers are members whose subscription is running. Members whose subscription is on hold are not counted. Mammograms are examinations done for members as part of their plan. - My Radhiant app: Bookings, results and unit locations in one place, on Google Play and the App Store. 375 downloads (275 on Google Play, 100 on the App Store) and 22 bookings made through the app since launch (as at 30 September 2026). Booking and results delivery for patients and their doctors. Downloads count first-time installs per user, not repeat downloads. ## Pages - Home: https://rdisa.co.za/ - About and team: https://rdisa.co.za/about/ - Book a mammogram: https://rdisa.co.za/book-a-mammogram/ - Workplace screening: https://rdisa.co.za/corporate-mobile-mammography/ - Employer enquiry: https://rdisa.co.za/enquire/ - Our record (figures with dates): https://rdisa.co.za/our-record/ - Insights (articles): https://rdisa.co.za/insights/ - Contact: https://rdisa.co.za/contact/ - Privacy and cookies: https://rdisa.co.za/privacy/ - Subscription (HerWay): https://radhiant.me/ - Foundation: https://radhiant.foundation/ - Group companies: https://www.radhiant.com/ - Booking portal: https://portal-admin.rdisa.co.za/booking - App: Google Play (com.radhiant.patientapp) and Apple App Store (My Radhiant)
